PhD Candidate April K. Smith was awarded the NSF Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grant for her dissertation research on the influence of early childhood stress on infectious disease susceptibility. She was also awarded the Charles E. Hudson Excellence in Teaching Award in March 2017. Dr. Reitsema was awarded a National Science Foundation grant for the new NSF REU Site: Immersive Research in the Bioarchaeology of Greek Colonization for Summer 2016, 2017, and 2018!
