Madalena Monteban

I am interested in the contributions of ethnonutritional knowledge to health. Currently as a doctoral candidate, I am researching the relationship between maternal breastfeeding and nutritional knowledge and infant growth in the southern highlands of Peru. My goal is to pursue an academic career as a professor of medical anthropology applied to public health, and to conduct research on maternal and child health that can contribute to the development of effective health policies for underrepresented populations in the US and globally.
